The Opportunity
This is a consultative closing role for an experienced salesperson who knows how to build trust, uncover buying motivation, and lead clients to a confident decision. You will work with warm, appointment-based clients who have already completed their portrait session and are scheduled to meet with you. There is no prospecting required. This is an opportunity for a proven closer to step into a full pipeline, run quality sales conversations, and sell a meaningful premium product in a one-call close environment.
What You'll Do
Lead scheduled sales appointments with clients after their portrait session and guide them through the selection and purchasing process.
Build rapport quickly and uncover the emotional reason behind the purchase by asking strong questions and listening carefully.
Help clients choose the images and finished pieces that best reflect what matters most to them and fit their home.
Run a consultative sales conversation that combines emotional connection, decision guidance, and confident closing.
Close sales during the appointment, with no cold calling or self-generated pipeline required.
Deliver a high-touch client experience that reflects the premium nature of the studio and its work.
Participate in onboarding and weekly coaching reviews to sharpen performance and maintain high standards.
What Success Looks Like
In the first 6-12 months, success in this role will look like:
Consistently closing sales during scheduled appointments.
Building trust quickly and identifying each client's core buying motivation.
Maintaining a strong average sale through effective discovery, recommendation, and closing.
Creating a smooth, premium buying experience that clients feel good about.
Performing at a high level in a calendar-driven environment where every appointment matters.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for an experienced salesperson, not someone learning to sell for the first time. The strongest candidates will bring:
At least 3 years of successful sales experience.
A proven track record of closing, clearly supported by past results.
Strong consultative selling skills, including rapport-building, questioning, listening, and guiding decisions.
Experience in high-ticket, premium, luxury retail, in-home sales, design sales, or other consultative sales environments is strongly preferred.
Comfort working in a one-appointment close environment.
Availability to work some evenings and weekends.
A professional, self-managed approach and the maturity to thrive in a small business setting.
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly Plus Commission based on experience - but a successful candidate should easily see more than 100k their first year.
Training includes structured onboarding and weekly sales coaching.
