Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of successful outside sales experience in the local Chicago Northwest Suburbs market.
- Proven experience selling technology products, software, IT services, automation solutions, industrial technology, or related technology offerings.
- Strong prospecting and business development skills.
- Experience targeting small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), preferably within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Demonstrated success in cold calling, door-to-door sales, and face-to-face customer acquisition.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a sales territory.
- Valid driver's license for local travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities within assigned territory.
- Conduct door-to-door sales visits and walk-in introductions to manufacturing and equipment companies.
- Generate qualified leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and field prospecting.
- Conduct in-person meetings, product demonstrations, and presentations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, operations managers, plant managers, and decision-makers.
- Understand customer business challenges and recommend appropriate technology solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of activities, opportunities, and sales forecasts in CRM systems.
- Consistently achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Monitor local market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Executive to expand our customer base among small and medium-sized equipment manufacturers and manufacturing companies in the greater Rolling Meadows area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology sales, a proven track record of prospecting and closing new business, and extensive experience selling directly to local businesses through field-based sales activities.
This is an outside sales role that requires proactive lead generation, door-to-door prospecting, cold calling, and in-person visits to business offices and manufacturing facilities.
Transportation: Company car provided for sales calls.
Incentives: $1000 to $2500 per client acquisition – subject to the variable of product sold.
