About the Role:


We are looking for someone who is passionate about all things retail, commercial real estate, and the Bay Area. You will be joining a high-performing Urban Retail team, where we shape the Bay Area’s retail landscape by representing top institutional owners and local and national retailers. As a CBRE Sales Associate, you will work closely with a team of seasoned retail brokers. You will assist in developing new businesses by selling, leasing, and marketing for large and high-profile commercial real estate properties. This is a unique opportunity to learn the business from the inside out, contribute to high-profile deals, and grow your career in commercial real estate.


What You’ll Do:


+ Support leasing and sales efforts for premier retail properties across San Francisco

+ Assist in marketing, client outreach, and deal execution

+ Help manage relationships with top institutional owners and national retailers

+ Conduct market research, site selection analysis, and tenant surveys

+ Support transaction management including lease tracking, document coordination, and CRM updates

+ Maintain organized records of listings, availability, and deal activity

+ Collaborate with internal teams including research, marketing, and legal

+ Work under the direct supervision of an experienced sales professional or team of sales professionals in a training capacity.

+ Represent company and properties at events.

+ Monitor the team’s progress, identify shortcomings, and propose improvements.

+ Assist sales professionals in identifying potential clients. Represent company and properties at events.

+ Research connections to turn cold calls into warm calls for potential sales opportunities.

+ Draft correspondence to existing and prospective clients. Gather, prepare, and distribute marketing materials.

+ Retrieve materials for transactions such as listing agreements, commission agreements, leases, and sales agreements.

+ Review and confirm the information on tenants, market availability, and leases in company databases are accurate.

+ Compile property data for clients. This includes tenant surveys, summary reports, maps, status updates, and presentations for listing or tenant representative assignments.

+ Provide clients with materials necessary for transactions. This includes listing agreements, commission agreements, leases, and sales agreements.

+ Gather and analyze data to identify and solve complex problems that arise with little or no precedent. May recommend new techniques.

+ Impact own team and other teams whose work activities are closely related.

+ Suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve the efficiency of the team.


What You’ll Need:


+ High School Diploma or GED with 3-4 years of job-related experience. Real Estate Salesperson license preferred.

+ A comprehensive understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function is required.

+ Ability to evaluate and communicates unusual and/or complex content in a concise and logical way.

+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

+ Advanced organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

+ Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate advanced figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sales Associate position is $33.66 per hour and the maximum salary for the Sales Associate position is $38.47 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
