Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and service-oriented Sales Associate to join our team! As a Sales Associate, you will assist customers with their shopping needs and ensure an excellent shopping experience. Responsibilities may include working the register, stocking shelves, processing inventory, meet sales quotas for our business, and maintaining the store’s appearance. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in customer service and knowledge of cash register operation.Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products and recommend solutions. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role. Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied and you will contribute to the store’s profitability. 


Responsibilities 
  • Greet each customer with a smile and provide assistance while they are shopping
  • Work at a register to ring up and carry out customer sales.
  • Be proficient in point of sale systems.
  • Take added responsibility for stocking, inventory, and store maintenance.
  • Drive sales by participating in targeted product promotions and initiatives as set forth by the company.
  • Determine customer needs based on personal features and other customer preference-related factors; suggest additional merchandise to compliment customer selection.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of store products and services to build sales and stay up to date on the latest trends in the sneaker and streetwear world.
  • Develop new business and expand client base through networking, suggestive selling, and on-the-floor presence.
  • Retrieve additional merchandise for customers as requested.
  • Perform these and other functions in an efficient manner and positive manner, as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Sneaker knowledge is not required but it is a plus
  • Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively
  • Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service
  • Willingness to work well in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
  • Resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Ability to quickly and accurately work a register
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:


  • Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department
  • May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and color vision
  • Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register, and ability to process register transactions
  • Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs
