    Description

    Sales associates generally spend a large portion of their workday communicating with customers, providing information regarding product benefits, ensuring that customers are satisfied with their experience in the store, and keeping the store in a presentable manner. 

    Essential Functions of the Job:

    Keeping the work environment neat and clean.

    Ensuring that all products or merchandise are placed in their respective areas.

    Ensuring that all stock is replenished.

    Helping customers locate merchandise or find suitable alternatives.

    Participating in periodic team meetings.

    Actively engaged in developing more effective customer service skills.

    Being knowledgeable about the benefits and uses of each product.

    Communicating with managers regarding customer concerns and employee matters.

    Greeting customers with a positive demeanor.

    Maintaining an enthusiastic and upbeat personality.

    Handling sales transactions, which may include operating cash registers.

    Providing honest and positive feedback to customers regarding the best products that fit the customers’ expectations.

    Provide excellent customer service 

    Other duties/responsibilities as may be assigned 

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Leadership role in the department includes, but is not limited to:

    Overseen by the Front-End Manager and will be directed on what must be done outside of activities that are accomplished on a day-to-day basis. 

    Supervisory Controls

    Level of supervisory oversight and guidance is:

    The position is self-directing in all essential functions.

    Performance standards used to measure success in the employee’s performance of the functions of this job description will be determined by the supervisor. 

    All major issues, policy changes and recommendations are cleared first with the supervisor.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    Preferred Education/Experience:

    One year of work experience in field. 

    Skills:

    Professional ability to communicate via telephone 

    Excellent customer service 

    Ability to handle multiple tasks throughout the workday

    Ability to work in a team environment

    Knowledge and ability to work with POS systems and other inventory management programs

    Basic math

    Sales associates spend a considerable amount of time standing and walking throughout their workday. 

    Sales associates are also responsible for stocking merchandise, moving stock and retrieving merchandise from store shelves.
