Position: Lumber & Building Material Sales (Inside/Outside Hybrid)

Are you a builder at heart with a knack for sales? Oxford Feed & Lumber is looking for a knowledgeable, driven Sales Representative to join our team. This isn't just a "behind the counter" job—we need someone who can bridge the gap between a blueprint and a finished project.
The Role
This is a high-impact, hybrid position focusing on both Inside and Outside Sales. You will be the primary point of contact for our core contractor customers, ensuring their materials are ordered, arrived on time and picked up/delivered to the jobsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Partnership: Work directly with local contractors and homeowners to provide expert advice on projects ranging from simple deck repairs, ordering doors and windows and working with vendors to ensure our company has the latest & greatest products to sell.
- Comprehensive Sales: Manage the full sales cycle for lumber and building materials, including specialized focus on decking, railing systems, doors, and windows.
- Design & Estimation: Utilize your building experience to assist in material take-offs and project design.
- Procurement: Manage the ordering of materials, ensuring specialized or custom items arrive on-site when the crew needs them.
- Relationship Building: Transition between the sales floor and job sites to maintain strong relationships with our professional accounts.
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on Experience: You have physical experience installing or building with the materials we sell. You understand decking, railing, and window/door installation.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with lumber grades, engineered wood products
- Customer-Centric Mindset: You enjoy problem-solving for a DIY homeowner just as much as you enjoy talking shop with a seasoned contractor.
- Efficiency: Ability to manage multiple orders and project timelines simultaneously with high attention to detail.
