Sales Assistant - Intern
Position Summary
The Sales Assistant supports the sales team by qualifying prospects, managing leads, and guiding customers through the sales process. This role focuses on outbound and inbound engagement, CRM management, and developing working knowledge of the drone industry and the markets we serve.
Primary Responsibilities
- Qualify sales prospects based on engagement with the company via phone and online channels
- Generate interest in company products and services through scheduled outreach and follow-up
- Execute market and customer engagement strategies
- Learn and communicate technical details related to the drone industry and customer industries, including construction, mining, and agriculture
- Gather, document, and maintain accurate customer information
- Guide prospects through the sales process, addressing objections and identifying next steps
- Manage leads and sales activity within the CRM, ensuring records are accurate and current
- Communicate effectively with sales management regarding opportunities, pipeline progress, and closing strategies
Education and Experience
- Active college student majoring in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred
- Previous sales or customer service experience is a plus
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of customer service principles and best practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with administrative and clerical processes
- Comfortable working with CRM systems and other computer applications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
