Create a network of commercial and technical evaluator relationships with clients and vendors to define integrated solutions and build a pipeline of potential business within the photovoltaic inverter market.Role AccountabilitiesResearch competitors' existing and obsolete product offerings, assess client situations, and design and develop competitive options applicable to the clients' individual needsAssess and evaluate technical solutions to meet requirements for client repower applications by gathering pertinent information from client sites and auditing existing installed equipmentDevelop electrical and mechanical design specifications for products and systems to upgrade existing utility-scale Photovoltaic (PV) systems to the Company's solutionDefine and procure hardware solutions to meet requirements for a project, in collaboration with clients and original equipment manufacturers (OEM's)Prepare commercial proposals and technical specifications to meet clients' Request for Quote (RFQ) requirementsLead technical and commercial proposal development for projects with limited supervisionProvide technical guidance in the preparation, review, and final commercial proposal generation to clientEffectively communicate these requirements to the clients and internal engineering teamPrepare detailed cost elements for the technical specificationDevelop pricing strategies to maximize project marginsEvaluate supplier proposals to determine the best technical and most economical solution for the applicationIdentify enhanced product or service feature needs by soliciting feedback from clientsProvide product and system feedback and service opportunities for improvement to appropriate managementReview brochures for technical accuracyIdentify, recommend, and as requested, develop new solutions, products, and applications to drive business growthMonitor industry trends to recommend new product and service featuresTrack competitive environment to identify new products and technology and provide comparative analyses to the commercial and R&D teamsPrepare and deliver presentations at technical conferences and meetings with clients, at client sites as necessary or assignedGeneral Employee AccountabilitiesBring full effort to bear on tasks assigned by managerGive manager best adviceGive earliest notice when work cannot be delivered as specifiedCooperate and collaborate with peers and interact cross-organizationally as specified by managerExemplify Company Core Values: Integrity, Client Focus, Team Orientation, and Personal CommitmentComply with all Company policies, practices, and procedures and all regulations and lawsRecommend viable improvements proactivelyEnsure effective utilization of business tools and processesMinimum QualificationsBachelor of Science in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering or equivalent education and/or work experience5 years' systems or application engineering experience in the PV industry or related industry power systems experienceDemonstrated experience with codes and standards related to the application and installation of utility-scale PV inverter systemsDemonstrated success as contributing member in project teamDemonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contactsDemonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skillsDemonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibilityDemonstrated knowledge of SolidWorks, CREO, or other 3D modeling softwareProficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCADAvailability to travel domestically, approximately 30% and internationally, occasionally, with limited noticePreferred QualificationsMaster of Science degree in electrical or mechanical engineering8 years' systems or application engineering experience in the PV industry or related power systems experienceDemonstrated success in client-facing, sales, or marketing-related assignmentsProficiency in SolidWorks, CREO, or other 3D modeling softwareField experience installing utility-scale Photovoltaic (PV) inverter systemsDemonstrated experience with UL1741/IEEE1547, NEC 690, or other related standardsEEO/AA/M/F/Vet/Disability Employer#J-18808-Ljbffr
