Safety & Wellness Coordinator
Location: Near Johnstown, NY
Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000
Type: Full-Time
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a dedicated Safety & Wellness Coordinator to support workplace safety, employee well-being, and regulatory compliance. This role plays a vital part in fostering a culture where employees feel safe, supported, and empowered to do their best work.
The ideal candidate enjoys a balance of hands-on coordination, data analysis, and collaboration, and is passionate about injury prevention, wellness initiatives, and continuous improvement.
Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate workplace safety programs, injury prevention initiatives, and OSHA compliance efforts
Manage workers' compensation claims, employee injury reporting, and return-to-work processes
Support and promote employee wellness programs focused on health, attendance, and injury reduction
Track, analyze, and report safety incidents, injury trends, and workers' compensation data
Partner with leadership and internal teams to improve safety practices and employee well-being
Develop and deliver safety and wellness communications and training
Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with applicable policies and regulations
QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional certification (e.g., Safety, Health, Nursing, Therapy, Wellness, or similar)
2-4 years of experience in safety, wellness, HR, or workers' compensation
Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and present information to individuals or groups
Comfortable working with data, reporting, and tracking metrics
Valid driver's license
