Safety Specialist
Location: Oakdale, CA (Onsite)

Pay Rate: $38.00 per hour
Shift Options:
2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
3rd Shift: 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Job Summary
LHH is seeking a Safety Specialist to support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role will help drive safety performance, support compliance programs, and contribute to a safe and injury-free workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain systems to track facility inspections, safety violations, corrective actions, and follow-up activities
Monitor and report on EHS metrics and initiatives against established goals
Assist with implementation of safety programs, training systems, and corporate initiatives
Participate in accident investigations and prepare detailed incident reports
Support monitoring of employee health and safety activities
Assist in developing and maintaining emergency action plans
Promote safety initiatives focused on achieving zero injuries
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or related field or 3+ years of relevant experience
Experience or familiarity with safety practices in a manufacturing environment preferred
Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methodologies
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and organizational skills
High attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills preferred
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing and walking, with occasional sitting
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Frequent use of hands and arms, including reaching, bending, and crouching
Exposure to varying temperatures and a noisy work environment
Requires visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, and depth perception
