Description

Safety Specialist will be supporting a large-scale industrial construction project in Jeffersonville, IN, focused on building a solar panel manufacturing facility. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining a safe work environment by promoting safety best practices, conducting site oversight, and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site safety resource for all construction-related activities
• Identify, evaluate, and correct potential safety hazards in real-time
• Lead and support safety training efforts, including:

o Fall protection

o Lockout/Tagout procedures

o General construction safety practices

• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and incident reporting
• Educate and coach employees and contractors on safety protocols and compliance standards
• Work closely with a diverse workforce, including international contractors, utilizing translation tools and maintaining patience and professionalism in communication
• Ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety requirements at all times

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must Have

• OSHA 10 or 30 certification

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, active construction environment

Nice to Have

• OSHA 300 and/or OSHA 510 certifications
• Experience working with multilingual teams or international contractors

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
