Compensation: Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location. The annual base pay range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000.
Benefits: Employees are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and vision insurance, accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, and telemedicine benefits. Employees are provided company-paid basic life and AD&D insurance as well as short-term and long-term disability. Employees are also able to enroll in the company's 401k retirement savings plan.
Paid Time Off: Employees accrue 0.0654 hours of PTO per hour worked up to a maximum of 136 hours per calendar year. Employees receive 6 paid holidays throughout the calendar year and employees accrue up to a maximum of 4 paid floating holidays per calendar year.

SUMMARY
The Safety Specialist serves as the on-site safety champion for district - wide parking, transportation, and healthcare service operations while maintaining a direct reporting relationship with the center led safety team. This role partners closely with operations leaders, the center led safety team, and frontline associates to implement and sustain a proactive safety culture focused on associate well-being, guest protection, operational compliance, and risk reduction.
The Safety Specialist is responsible for executing district-level safety initiatives including driver and pedestrian safety programs, associate training and certification, operational audits, incident prevention, coaching, and compliance tracking. This role acts as a liaison between field operations and the centralized safety department to ensure consistent implementation of company safety standards, policies, and best practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Works with operational managers and district leadership under the direction of the corporate safety team to implement and sustain district-wide safety initiatives across valet, shuttle transportation, and patient services operations.
- Coordinates, implements, and continuously improves operational safety processes, including tracking and monitoring driver safety, incident trends, claims activity, and high-risk behaviors across assigned accounts.
- Executes key certification initiatives and field validation processes, including phased training progression and certification utilizing company-approved systems and training tools.
- Coordinates new hire safety onboarding and field training in partnership with operations and training leaders by assigning, monitoring, documenting, and validating all required training activities prior to associates working independently.
- Establishes and maintains ongoing retraining and coaching programs for associates, including ride-alongs, safety observations, remediation training, and follow-up accountability measures. Coaches operational leaders and GSCs on effective real-time coaching and safety reinforcement practices.
- Maintains and updates safety communication tools including hotspot boards, safety boards, safety alerts, stand-downs, huddles, and operational safety meetings to reinforce awareness and engagement.
- Supports and tracks district lot audit programs to ensure operational compliance and safe vehicle handling practices, including verification that vehicles are parked correctly, secured appropriately, and keys are handled according to company procedures.
- Conducts routine operational safety audits, inspections, and observations within valet operations, shuttle transportation routes, parking facilities, garages, and patient service environments.
- Assists with incident investigations involving vehicle damage, injuries, pedestrian events, shuttle incidents, and operational near misses by identifying root causes and supporting corrective action implementation.
- Promotes and reinforces safe driving behaviors, pedestrian awareness, distracted driving prevention, proper backing procedures, speed management, and defensive driving standards.
- Supports shuttle transportation compliance initiatives including driver qualification tracking, documentation reviews, vehicle inspections, and operational safety standards.
- Promotes teamwork philosophy through leading by example, positive engagement, and effective communication skills while supporting high levels of guest and patient service.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Public Health, or related field Preferred
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 2-4 years of operational safety, transportation safety, hospitality, healthcare, or related experience preferred.
- Experience working within valet, shuttle transportation, parking operations, healthcare support services, or high-volume customer service environments preferred.
Certifications:
- OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour certification preferred. Defensive driving instructor certification, transportation safety certifications, or related safety credentials are a plus.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of operational safety principles, driver safety, pedestrian safety, incident prevention, and workplace risk management.
- Ability to coach and influence frontline associates and operational leaders in fast-paced environments.
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to conduct audits, observations, investigations, and training sessions effectively.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and safety tracking/reporting systems.
- Ability to work flexible schedules and travel between district locations as needed.
SCOPE
Authority to Act:
Job is fairly routine. Incumbent follows established practices and procedures. Duties are performed with specific directions given and work is checked or verified on a frequent basis. Decisions are made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment could affect the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
