Position summary
The Safety & Quality Specialist supports key project management, data analysis, and coordination functions for designated Quality and Safety initiatives across the organization. Under general direction, this role assists with project execution, maintains project documentation and tracking tools, supports quality improvement efforts, and collaborates with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to help drive operational and patient safety initiatives.
Key responsibilities
  • Support the design, coordination, and operational activities for assigned Quality and Safety projects and initiatives
  • Maintain project documentation including schedules, project plans, issue logs, communications, task assignments, and meeting materials
  • Track project milestones, timelines, and deliverables while updating project schedules as needed
  • Coordinate day-to-day project activities including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, documenting meeting minutes, and maintaining filing systems
  • Assist with quantitative and qualitative analysis and data coordination to support project objectives and timelines
  • Provide data entry and data coordination support for quality improvement initiatives
  • Abstract, organize, and interpret clinical and non-clinical data relevant to assigned projects
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to support implementation and monitoring of quality improvement efforts
  • Prepare professional written and verbal communications, presentations, reports, and workflow documentation for internal and external audiences
Minimum qualifications
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Public Health, or a related field preferred
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative and project coordination experience required, including at least 1 year in a quality and safety-related role
  • Bachelor’s degree may substitute for 2 years of administrative experience
  • Experience working in a healthcare or regulated industry environment preferred
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills required
  • Experience managing project documentation, timelines, and data coordination preferred
  • Proficiency with project tracking tools, presentations, workflow documentation, and data management systems preferred
