Does that sound like you?The Opportunity with McKinstryWe are currently seeking a Safety Program Specialist to join our team as a member of our growing Data Center Innovations division. In this role, you will focus on identification, elimination, and control of hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage by utilizing McKinstry safety standards and best practices. Additionally, some additional responsibilities you will have include:Assisting project teams with adherence to safety and loss control policies, lessons learned, and any safety program feedback by informing the responsible safety program manager. You'll also assist Field Safety Specialists as appropriateDevelop site-specific safety plans, which apply the McKinstry Safety.Program to the unique planning considerations of the project.Execution of the site-specific safety plans.Verifies that subcontractors are conducting the proper training as per OSHA standards.Administer McKinstry Safety Program to reduce risk of injury and property loss or damage.Assist Safety Program Managers with program reviews, audits, and updates as assigned.Manage a single subject-specific safety program.Assist Business Units in the development of annual safety plans and Safety Training expectations.Ensure any gaps in safety programs are recorded for future improvement initiatives.Conducts safety orientation for new employees as well as conducting safety investigations to report findings, corrective actions, and lessons learned.Conducts safety meetings, publishing the minutes, and maintaining the safety records as needed.Promotes safe work practices and conditions in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.What You Need to Succeed at McKinstryOSHA 500 certification preferred.Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local safety regulations required.Ability to recognize onsite risk factors and take appropriate action with firmness and tact required. We use Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio, so a working knowledge of these programs is required. This is a non-exempt role and will be paid hourly. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
