Construction Safety Manager

Location: Jefferson, OH

Duration: 6+ Months (Start: 6/15)

Type: 1099 Contractor


Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $56/hr (Local) | $52/hr (Non-Local)

Per Diem: $125/Day (7 Days Per Week)

Completion Bonus: $150/month

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 40 Hours Per Week (Day Shift)

Project is expected to ramp up to 50-60 hours per week within the coming weeks

This role offers the opportunity to oversee safety on a high-profile logistics and industrial project while supporting ongoing operations, contractor coordination, renovation activities, and daily construction work in an occupied facility environment.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Oversee daily safety activities for construction and retrofit operations
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Deliver new hire orientations and ongoing safety training
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
  • Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
  • Partner with project management and field supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
  • Coordinate safety efforts among multiple trades and subcontractors
  • Support safe work practices within an active and operational facility
  • Promote a positive safety culture across the project

Required Qualifications

OSHA 30 Certification

5+ years of field construction safety experience


Preferred Qualifications

General contractor safety experience

Distribution center, warehouse, or logistics facility experience

Experience supporting renovation or retrofit projects in occupied facilities

CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential
