and Quality Control are the means by which we ensure delivery of and adherence to those core values.
The Safety, Security, and Environmental (SSE) Manager position serve to lead the SSE Supervisors (Officers)
and provide support to the oversight of the various Lines of Business (LOBs) and Business Units (BUs) at a
given location.
Credibility, consistency, and fairness are paramount to effective safety promotion, advocacy, and
accountability.
The purpose of this role is to promote, manage, and oversee safety, security, and environmental compliance at
the base-level. The position will be responsible to offer guidance for implementation and adherence to MA
Safety, Security, Quality, and Training policies and SOPs as well as local, state, and Federal regulations.
Main accountabilities include:

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year College or university; or three to five years related experience
and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and
procedure manuals. Ability to write technical reports and correspondence. Ability to read, analyse and
interpret general business periodicals, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Canadian Air Transportation
Safety Authority (CATSA), and Transport Canada (TC) documentation, professional journals, and
government regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of
managers, clients, customers and the public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages,
area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only
limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or
schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
Valid state Driver's License
Ability to obtain required Security clearances
Ability to obtain a Driving Icon/Authorization from local Airport Authority

Ability to effectively prioritize. Excellent attendance, communication skills and the ability to work well under
pressure. Must be able and willing to work flexible shifts.
