Project Scope
The Safety Manager will support a commercial concrete subcontractor performing structural concrete work on an active construction project in Forest Park, GA. The scope includes footings and foundations, slab-on-grade (SOG), and slab-on-deck (SOD) operations.
This role will focus on field-level safety oversight, hazard identification, and enforcement of site-specific safety plans. The Safety Manager will work closely with field supervision and crews to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and client safety expectations.
The position requires a hands-on presence in the field, supporting daily concrete operations while promoting a proactive safety culture across all phases of work.
Qualifications
OSHA 30 Certification
Minimum of 3+ years of experience supporting concrete construction operations
Proven experience working on commercial construction projects
Additional Requirements
Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
Strong field presence and ability to work in active construction environments
Effective communication with crews, supervisors, and project leadership
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and audits
• Enforce OSHA regulations and site-specific safety plans
• Identify hazards related to concrete operations and implement corrective actions
• Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings
• Assist with incident investigations and documentation
• Promote a strong safety culture among field personnel
