Bgesh is looking for a Safety Manager to oversee the safety of all employees working our construction projects. The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing comprehensive safety programs across government contract sites. This position ensures full compliance with OSHA regulations and federal safety standards while promoting a culture of accountability and risk prevention.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a clear background and can obtain a security clearance to work on a military installation or government facility on a construction project in the federal domain.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety and safety management
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety management principles and practices
  • Valid OSHA certification (OSHA 30 required; additional safety credentials preferred)
  • Proven experience in construction or federal project safety management
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EM 385-1-1, and federal safety standards
  • Ability to work independently and manage safety programs without direct supervision
  • Experience supporting government contracts preferred
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and training skills
  • Willingness to travel to multiple project locations
  • Proficiency in safety documentation and reporting systems

Duties:

  • Develop and manage site-specific safety programs and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, and company safety requirements
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Lead safety orientations and training sessions for staff and subcontractors
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses
  • Prepare and maintain safety reports and documentation
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions
  • Serve as the primary safety liaison for government representatives
  • Monitor subcontractor safety performance
  • Support emergency response planning and execution
