Pay Range: Compensation for this position is $85,000-$100,000 plus an estimated additional ROA annual compensation based on division performance. Teammates in this position average of $86,000-$105,000.

The responsibilities of the Safety & Health Coordinator include, but are not limited to, working closely with Nucor teammates to foster and sustain a strong TM driven safety culture; Leading the development and review of safety programs to ensure they meet current standards and effectiveness; Safety & Health training and auditing; Implementing best practices; Assessing training and employing tailored training initiatives that enhance Nucor Steel Auburn TM competency and performance; Supporting and executing corporate initiatives to align with organizational goals and priorities; Traveling to include occasional nights/weekends, and be on-call for emergencies; Assist in the participation of Voluntary Protection Program (VPP). Promoting and supporting a safety culture centered around teammate ownership and team engagement.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and Safety or related field, or 5 years’ experience
• No relatives employed at the Nucor Steel Auburn facility.
