Position Overview

We are seeking an on-site Safety Facilitator/Safety Professional to support a high-hazard industrial demolition/construction project at an active industrial/power-generation type facility. This position will include field observations at elevation at times (fall protection harness required), though the majority of work will be at grade.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide full-time, on-site safety coverage during active work shifts (as required by site staffing levels and high-hazard task scope).
  • Conduct daily coordination/check-ins with the site/project Safety Representative (client-side) to review:
    • safety issues and corrective actions
    • upcoming high-risk activities
    • trends, field observations, and focus areas
    • safety program implementation and performance updates
  • Perform continuous field safety observations, coach safe behaviors, and drive corrective action closure.
  • Support planning and execution of high-hazard activities including (as applicable):
    • fall protection / work at heights
    • demolition activities and exclusion zones
    • crane/rigging/lifts
    • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
    • electrical safety / arc flash awareness
    • trenching/excavation (if encountered)
  • Assist with safety documentation as needed (JSAs/JHAs, toolbox talks, audits/inspections, safety metrics reporting per site expectations).
  • Maintain a “safety-only” scope of work (not responsible for production, scheduling, payroll, non-safety site duties, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications (must meet at least one)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety (or related technical field) and 5+ years large-project construction safety experience; OR
  • 5+ years large-project construction safety experience and OSHA 500 completion; OR
  • CHST certificationand 4+ years construction safety experience.

Additional Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in construction/industrial safety; demolition experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work the site schedule (6x10s).
  • Comfortable performing observations in an active field environment, including occasional work at elevation and use of fall protection.
  • Ability to comply with site onboarding requirements (e.g., drug screen/background screening and PPE standards, as applicable)
