The Safety Engagement Manager directly supports WHS Health & Safety"s (WHS) unified safety culture by helping deliver initiatives that encourage safe behaviors and reduce risk across Amazon"s global operations. This role partners with teams to develop safety-related content and assist with field engagement efforts. It helps ensure safety messaging is clear and consistent while increasing awareness and visibility of safety programs across regions.

The WHS Health & Safety team is seeking an experienced leader to deliver safety initiatives that deliver content and insights to thousands of safety professionals worldwide. This leader will design and execute global strategies that embed safety principles across every Amazon environment, community, and geography.

As the Safety Engagement Manager, you"ll create compelling, business-aligned content and messaging that inspires safety teams to connect with associates in the peculiar Amazonian way. You"ll collaborate with internal communications, business owners, policy makers, and public relations to scale safety program reach while streamlining content. Success in this role requires balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, building trust across multiple organizational levels, and translating business requirements into actionable outcomes. This is a unique opportunity to shape Amazon"s proactive safety culture and commitment to being the benchmark for safety excellence.

Key job responsibilities

The ideal candidate brings experience within Safety or Operations environments, aligning stakeholders to shared visions, and creating content that drives engagement. You should possess strong stakeholder management, content strategy, and analytics capabilities, along with strong storytelling skills. The role requires approximately 25% travel to Amazon facilities and stakeholder locations. The individual will be leading a team so experience as a people manager is a plus.
