Safety Department Manager

Build a Safer Future with an Employee-Owned Company

At Crowe Custom Countertops, safety isn't just a requirement—it's a core value. As an employee-owned company, every team member has a vested interest in protecting one another, delivering exceptional work, and building a stronger business together.

We're looking for an experienced Safety Department Manager to lead and elevate our company-wide safety program from our headquarters in Acworth, Georgia. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for creating a culture where safety is embedded into everything we do—from our state-of-the-art stone fabrication facility and slab yard to residential and commercial installation sites throughout the region.

If you're passionate about creating safe workplaces, developing people, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As our Safety Department Manager, you'll serve as the company's safety leader, partnering with employees and managers to ensure every team member returns home safely each day.

Safety Leadership

  • Lead company-wide safety initiatives that foster a proactive, safety-first culture.

  • Conduct engaging safety training, toolbox talks, new hire orientation, and ongoing educational programs.

  • Coach and support leaders in implementing best safety practices across all departments.

Multi-Site Safety Oversight

  • Regularly travel to fabrication facilities, slab yards, regional showrooms, warehouses, and active installation sites.

  • Perform safety inspections and audits to ensure consistent compliance across all company locations.

  • Build strong relationships with field teams and reinforce safety expectations throughout the organization.

Program Development & Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, and programs.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and industry best practices, with particular emphasis on respirable crystalline silica, dust control, machine guarding, and industrial safety.

  • Stay current on evolving safety regulations and recommend improvements that enhance workplace safety and operational efficiency.

Risk Management

  • Conduct routine hazard assessments for fabrication equipment, bridge saws, CNC machinery, forklifts, overhead cranes, slab storage systems, and material handling operations.

  • Investigate workplace incidents, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and manage workers' compensation reporting and documentation.

  • Monitor company fleet safety and support safe driving practices for delivery and installation teams.

Safety Communication

  • Develop clear, practical safety procedures, training materials, and documentation.

  • Promote open communication and encourage employee participation in identifying and resolving workplace hazards.

  • Champion a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and shared responsibility.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • Five (5) or more years of safety leadership experience in stone fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or another industrial environment.

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, industrial safety practices, heavy material handling, forklift and crane operations, machine safety, and industrial ventilation systems.

  • Willingness and ability to travel locally and regionally to company facilities and active job sites.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or comparable professional safety certification.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
