  • Conduct weekly toolbox talks and actively participate in jobsite safety meetings to reinforce key safety topics and expectations.
  • Lead and deliver safety training programs, including Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, First Aid/CPR, Accident Prevention, and Workplace Hazard Recognition.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries, performing thorough root cause analysis and documenting findings and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, reports, OSHA logs, and all required regulatory documentation and compliance records.
  • Assist with Workers" Compensation processes, including claims management and support of injury management and return-to-work programs.
  • Monitor and ensure ongoing compliance with Cal OSHA regulations and company safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in General Contractor safety meetings and insurance inspections, representing the safety program and providing updates as needed.
  • Respond promptly to employee safety concerns, conduct follow-up reviews, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Manage and support site safety programs across multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring consistent standards and practices.
  • Lead or participate in Safety Committees and document meeting outcomes, corrective actions, and follow-up activities.
  • Maintain familiarity with contractor and subcontractor safety compliance requirements and support enforcement of safety standards.
  • Ensure environmental compliance requirements are understood and followed, including proper use and management of Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Read and interpret construction plans, site logistics plans, and project schedules to identify potential safety risks and plan preventive measures.
  • Work directly with General Contractors and project teams, participating in site-wide safety meetings and collaborative safety initiatives.
  • Travel regularly between jobsites throughout the Sacramento area to provide on-site safety support and oversight.

Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of construction safety experience in field environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Cal OSHA regulations and construction safety requirements.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • CPR / First Aid Certification.
  • Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis for accidents and near misses.
  • Experience managing Workers" Compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
  • Experience managing site safety programs across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience maintaining OSHA logs, safety documentation, and compliance records.
  • Familiarity with contractor management and subcontractor safety compliance.
  • Experience leading Safety Committees and documenting corrective actions.
  • Ability to read construction plans, site logistics plans, and project schedules.
  • Experience working directly with General Contractors and participating in site-wide safety meetings.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to coach and influence field personnel and leadership.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and record-keeping abilities.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
