Day Shift Safety Coordinator

Job Summary

The Day Shift Safety Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all safety activities during daily operations. This role ensures compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and safety procedures while promoting a safe and productive work environment. The coordinator serves as the primary safety contact during the day shift and responds to incidents, hazards, and emergency situations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

  • Conduct routine facility inspections and safety audits to identify and address hazards

  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns and implement corrective actions

  • Provide safety guidance, coaching, and training to employees

  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices

  • Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation

  • Coordinate emergency response activities and communicate safety concerns to management

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety, supervisory, or leadership role

  • Minimum of 1 year of industrial safety experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; safety certifications are a plus

  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems preferred

  • Ability to work day shift, with occasional weekends or overtime as needed

  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform facility inspections for extended periods

  • Experience working in manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse environments preferred
