Job Title: Safety Coordinator

Location:Fremont, CA

Shift: M-F 8:30am-5:15pm

Hourly Pay Range$30.00-$30.00 hourly

Employment Type: Temp to Hire

Job Summary:

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting day-to-day safety compliance and risk control across warehouse and receiving operations. This role focuses on identifying safety risks, conducting routine inspections, supporting corrective actions, and reinforcing safe work practices to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and environmental standards
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor warehouse operations to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, local/state/federal
    safety requirements, and internal safety policies.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and safety walks across warehouse areas, including docks,
    racking systems, forklifts, storage areas, chemical handling zones, and PPE usage.
  • Identify unsafe conditions or behaviors, document findings, and track corrective actions through
    closure.
  • Support enforcement of PPE requirements and warehouse safety rules
  • Assist with incident, near-miss, and hazard reporting, including documentation and follow-up.
  • Maintain safety records, inspection checklists, corrective action logs, and supporting
    documentation.
  • Support updates to OSHA logs and internal safety reports.
  • Coordinate and track warehouse safety training, including forklift safety, hazard awareness, and
    refresher training as required.
  • Support new-hire safety orientation for Warehouse and Receiving employees
  • Communicate safety reminders through postings, signage, and floor-level engagement.
  • Work closely with warehouse managers, supervisors, and team leads to reinforce safety SOPs and
    corrective actions.
  • Participate in internal audits, customer walkthroughs, and compliance reviews as requested
  • Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response readiness.
  • Perform other safety-related duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental, Industrial, Operations, or a related
    field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, operations, or safety-related
    environment.
  • Basic working knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety practices
  • Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout warehouse facilities for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 15 pounds regularly, with occasional heavier
    lifting as needed.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to temperature variations, noise, and
    dust
  • Ability to travel between multiple warehouse buildings as required
  • Bilingual (English and Vietnamese) preferred.
