Job Summary:

The Safety Coordinator implements the organization's safety program. Works with personnel throughout the organization to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Monitors facility and processes for adherence to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and the elimination of industrial accidents.

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

  • Overtime based on need

  • Compensation: Pay starts at $30.35/hour

What you will do:

  • Assists with the implementation of EHS programs in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Become forklift certified trainer within the first 30 days
  • Train and certify forklift users
  • Coordinate forklift maintenance and work closely with the repair teams
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Assist with coordination of safety training sessions to promote awareness and safe work practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety meetings, training, incidents, and inspections.
  • Assist in investigating workplace incidents, near misses, and injuries; document findings and recommend preventive measures.
  • Serve as a contact for safety-related questions and provide guidance to employees and supervisors.
  • Ensure proper use, maintenance, and availability of personal protective equipment (PPE).

What you will have:

  • High school education or equivalent experience required

Top candidates will have:

  • Previous EHS experience

Physical Demands:

  • Occasionally lift parts up to 35 pounds individually or 50 pound as team lift

  • Occasional bending, reaching and squatting while performing tasks

  • Consistent usage of required PPE for task being performed

  • Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures

  • Standing and/or sitting at a desk while performing tasks

Summary Pay Range:

$30.35 - $40.65

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
