Compensation
Rate: $65,000 - $85,000 annually
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Additional Allowances:
• Vehicle Allowance: $500 - $800/month
• Phone Allowance: $25 - $50/month

Schedule
Hours: 50-60 hours per week
Schedule: Monday-Friday, some Saturdays
Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Project Scope
This role supports a General Contracting company performing large-scale site upgrades at an active water treatment facility in Corpus Christi, TX. The work involves heavy civil construction, underground utilities, and water/wastewater infrastructure improvements.
The Safety Coordinator will be embedded with project teams across the site, helping ensure compliance with safety standards, proactive hazard mitigation, and consistent safety communication. The role is hands-on and field-focused, supporting ongoing construction activities in a high-visibility, safety-critical environment.
Qualifications
Bilingual in Spanish (mandatory)
3-5 years of safety experience in Heavy Civil, Utility, Water, or Underground construction
Strong field-based construction safety background
OSHA 30 preferred
Additional Requirements
High sense of urgency and ability to start ASAP
Ability to work extended hours and occasional Saturdays
Comfortable supporting multiple crews and site locations as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with and participate in daily and weekly safety meetings
- Conduct jobsite safety audits and field observations
- Support injury reporting, documentation, and follow-up
- Manage and track PPE compliance and usage
- Communicate safety expectations with project teams and supervision
- Review and oversee Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) prior to submission
- Support implementation of site-specific safety programs
