Safety Controls Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Safety Engineer to evaluate, design, and implement safety improvements across mechanical systems and equipment. In this role, you identify safety risks, develop practical solutions, and ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable standards while working closely with engineering teams to integrate safety into system designs.

Work Environment
This is an onsite role with core hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility to work overtime as needed to support safety projects and implementations. You will work in a fast-paced, fun startup environment that emphasizes collaboration and continuous improvement. The setting involves industrial or manufacturing-style facilities with mechanical systems and equipment, where you will be closely engaged with engineering and operations teams. The organization offers a strong company culture and the opportunity to contribute in the earlier phases of growth. Benefits include paid time off for a shutdown week from December 26th to 31st, 10 paid holidays (including New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Election Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and a winter break holiday from Friday, December 26 to Wednesday, December 31, 2025, supported by 40 hours of PTO.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $64.00/hr.
