Job Summary:

EMCOR Government Services (EGS) is seeking a Safety and Environment Officer (Data Center) to support contract operations for a mission‑critical Intelligence Community customer in Pocatello, Idaho. The Safety and Environmental Officer ensures the data center operates in full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. This role develops safety programs,
conducts training, manages audits, and leads initiatives to reduce environmental impact
and operational risk.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safety programs, emergency response plans, and environmental compliance strategies.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, local regulations, and corporate safety standards.
  • Lead incident investigations and manage corrective action plans.
  • Deliver safety training for staƯ and contractors, including electrical safety, confined space, and hazard communication.
  • Monitor environmental metrics such as energy usage, emissions, and waste management.
  • Maintain documentation for regulatory reporting and internal compliance.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess a Top-Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental science, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of experience in safety and environmental compliance, preferably in
    mission-critical or industrial environments.
  • Certifications such as CSP, CHMM, or OSHA 30/50 preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and risk management practices
