PAY RANGE: $23.77 to $29.05/hr, depending on years of experience
SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, 5pm to 9pm (Part time evenings)

Established in 2023, CommuniCare+OLE is the result of a union of two health centers with a deep roots in their respective communities and reputations for providing high-quality primary care to all, regardless of insurance or ability to pay: OLE Health of Napa and Solano Counties and CommuniCare Health Centers of Yolo County. Building on a legacy established by both organizations in 1972, CommuniCare+OLE is a network of federally-qualified health centers with 17 sites across Napa, Solano, and Yolo Counties. It offers comprehensive care, including medical, dental, behavioral health and substance use treatment, nutrition, optometry, pharmacy, care coordination, referrals, and enrollment assistance to more than 70,000 individuals, and no one is turned away due to lack of insurance, immigration status, or ability to pay. Many services are offered outside of its sites, including mobile health, home visiting, and community and school-based programs.

JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW:
The Safety Ambassador is responsible for promoting safety of clients and staff by providing security and necessary intervention to respond to and help de-escalate crisis situations.

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS/TRAINING
High school diploma or equivalent required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Utilize verbal de-escalation skills during crisis intervention.
2.
Connect and build rapport with clients in crisis.
3.
Visit waiting rooms regularly to assist clients when possible.
4.
Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; inspect buildings, equipment, and access points; permit entry.
5.
Obtain help when necessary by calling codes, calling 911 or emergency personnel, and/or by sounding alarms.
6.
Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses.
7.
Assist clients, patients, vendors, and/or contractors with finding their way within the clinic.
8.
Serve as an information resource for clients, patients, vendors and/or contractors needing assistance.
9.
Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; inform violators of policy and procedures.
10.
Regularly check bathrooms and makes sure they are clean and stocked.
11.
Responsible for helping to maintain the entire property in an attractive, comfortable condition.

Assist with trash pickup on the property
13.
Regularly patrol parking lot to ensure vehicles are secure.
14.
Regularly patrol parking lot and assist clients/patients as needed.
15.
Maintain a safe environment by reporting facility safety concerns to appropriate staff.
16.
In collaboration with the Health center manager, support with routinely conducting safety drills.
17.
In collaboration with the Health center manager, be present if needed to present a behavior contract to a patient.
18.
Performs other duties as assigned.
