Job Description:
- This is a public relations position, providing general information and assistance to visitors at Antioch Park, Meadowbrook Park, and Ernie Miller Nature Center.
- Park Safety Aide’s also conduct bicycle patrols on the Gary Haller Streamway Trail System (Mill Creek), Kill Creek Park, Lexington Lake and the Coffee Creek Streamway from Heritage Park.
- Park Safety Aides assist the Park Police by taking non-criminal reports, observing for any possible criminal activity, and contacting park visitors observed committing park ordinance violations to seek voluntary compliance.
- Park Safety Aides also assist Park Police Officers with special events as needed, including but not limited to triathlons, fun runs, festivals, and other JCPRD-sponsored events.
Job Requirements:
- This is an outdoor position that requires walking, riding a bike and/or standing for eight-hour workdays.
- Positions start in May and end in September.
- Minimum age 20 years and older.
- Must be able to pass a criminal history and background check.
- Good physical condition and be able to work outdoors in the summer heat.
