Position Summary
United Way recognizes that the key to success is a strong and cohesive team that works through shared values to achieve our mission. The Safe and Affordable Housing Director sets the strategic direction for United Way’s housing portfolio, aligning investments, partnerships, and initiatives to accelerate measurable progress toward poverty reduction and housing stability across Central Indiana. Additionally, this position works in a collaborative and integrated manner with team members across the Impact Division as well as across all other areas of United Way to ensure that organizational goals and strategies are realized, and to assist Central Indiana in making significant progress toward meeting its poverty reduction goals. As a leader within the Impact Division, this position represents United Way in community-wide housing efforts and influences systems-level change through strategic partnerships and data-informed decision-making.
