Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is searching for a Regional Vice President / External Wholesaler for a full-time opportunity with a leading global alternative investment and insurance platform in the Des Moines, Iowa territory. This is a remote position; candidates must reside within the region.
This is a highly visible territory sales role focused on growing advisor relationships, expanding market share, and driving annuity and insurance product sales throughout the territory.
We are seeking polished, relationship-driven financial services sales professionals with strong wholesaling experience, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to build long-term partnerships within the independent advisor and broker-dealer channels.
What You'll Be Doing
• Develop and grow relationships with financial advisors throughout the assigned territory
• Drive territory production and market share growth
• Execute in-person advisor meetings, seminars, workshops, and branch presentations
• Partner closely with internal wholesalers to maximize territory coverage and sales opportunities
• Build and execute strategic territory business plans
• Educate advisors on product positioning, competitive differentiation, and sales strategies
• Manage territory activity and pipeline through Salesforce and other CRM tools
• Maintain a highly organized travel schedule with significant face-to-face advisor interaction
What We're Looking For
• 5–7+ years of financial services sales and/or external wholesaling experience
• Strong annuity, retirement, or insurance product knowledge
• Experience working with independent advisors, broker-dealers, RIAs, or IMO channels
• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
• Strong presentation and relationship-building skills
• Self-starter mentality with the ability to manage a territory independently
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly relationship-driven sales environment
• Existing licenses strongly preferred:
• Series 7
• Series 63
