JOB TITLE: RS Aircraft Cabinet Maker
LOCATION:Dallas, TX
PAY RATE: $33.81/hour

Summary: 

  • Fabricates complex high-quality furniture and wood-surfaced subassemblies using stationary and hand-held tools.

  • Interprets material specifications and design or engineering drawings to ensure finished product meets design and engineering requirements.

  • Utilizes a variety of woodworking tools and techniques for aircraft interior fabrication.

  • Works with lead and higher skilled technicians to implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma techniques.

  • Utilizes material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign off work.

  • Fabricates aircraft interiors including cabinetry, furnishings, and subassemblies per engineering specifications.

  • Applies knowledge of cabinetmaking processes and products.

  • Reads and interprets blueprints and engineering documentation for fabrication tasks.

  • Uses hand and power tools associated with cabinetmaking and aircraft interior fabrication.

  • Oversees projects and coordinates with lead to delegate tasks to assigned technicians.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • 4 years of experience in cabinetmaking.

  • Strong skills in aircraft cabinetmaking with minimal supervision.

  • Experience reading and interpreting design or engineering drawings.

  • Experience using stationary and hand-held woodworking tools.

  • Advanced knowledge of cabinetmaking processes and products.

  • Experience with material tracking systems for parts demand and work sign-off.

  • Preferred: Experience in aerospace industry.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, work in small restricted areas, and climb ladders and stairs.
