Davis Ice Cream Georgia is seeking an experienced and motivated Route Service Supervisor to help lead our route operations team. This hands-on leadership role supports the Route Manager by overseeing route execution, customer service, merchandising standards, and driver performance while ensuring products are delivered safely and efficiently.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example and isn't afraid to jump behind the wheel when needed. You'll help manage route operations, train team members, solve customer issues, and occasionally cover routes to keep our customers serviced without interruption.

What You'll Do

• Support and assist the Route Manager with daily route operations
• Supervise route drivers and merchandisers at assigned locations
• Monitor route productivity, service levels, and customer satisfaction
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards, DOT regulations, and food safety requirements
• Oversee freezer placements, equipment swaps, and freezer maintenance standards
• Ensure proper product rotation, merchandising, and inventory control
• Resolve customer concerns and service-related issues promptly
• Track route performance and prepare operational reports
• Train, coach, and develop route personnel
• Deliver and merchandise products when covering open routes
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and identify business opportunities
• Coordinate product deliveries, returns, and inventory reconciliation

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B License with a clean driving record
• Ability to obtain and maintain DOT qualification requirements
• Previous route delivery, merchandising, or DSD experience preferred
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working independently and making decisions in the field
• Basic computer and mobile device proficiency

Physical Requirements

• Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, and move products weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and freezer environments
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles and equipment
