Job Summary

Join our team in Houston, a vibrant city known for its diverse culture, thriving economy, and rich history. We seek dedicated Route Drivers to operate company trucks, delivering and picking up hospital linen at multiple medical facilities. You will establish professional relationships with customers and provide quality service, representing the company with professionalism in appearance, conduct, and performance. Safe operation of company vehicles, including pre and post-route inspections, is essential. Drivers must maintain DOT compliance and follow hours of service rules.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure excellent attendance and meet established route schedules.
  • Demonstrate good communication and customer service skills.
  • Adhere to all company safety rules and policies.
  • Work well with a diverse workforce and follow supervisor or manager directions.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and a clean, organized work area.
  • Deliver products to customers in a timely manner and work past the schedule if necessary.
  • Properly maintain required daily and weekly paperwork.
  • Perform daily visual inspections of equipment.
  • Cross-train on other routes as needed.
  • Move equipment to service providers for repairs and service as needed.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class B driver's license with proper endorsements.
  • Clean driving record per company policy.
  • Six months to one-year experience in a similar role.
  • Availability to drive nights and weekends.
  • Ability to speak and read the English language.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Use repetitive arm motions.
  • Be able to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day.
  • Push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience driving.
  • No current license suspension/revocation, tickets, or accidents.
