PURPOSE: To provide quality service and products to our customers in a timely and professional manner.

JOB SUMMARY: Operate company truck to deliver clean product to the customer in a timely manner and pick up soiled product from customer locations. Load and unload the trucks with laundry carts. Establish professional relationship with customers and provide quality customer service. Represent the company professionally in appearance, conduct, and performance while at customer locations. Safe operation of company vehicles, including pre and post route inspections. Follow standard vehicle operating procedures. In addition, Dock Support / Non-CDL Driver is responsible for supporting the daily transportation and distribution of healthcare linen while ensuring efficient dock operations and uninterrupted customer service. This position is comprised of approximately 50% dock support and 50% driving responsibilities. Primary duties include loading and unloading delivery vehicles, preparing routes, scanning soil carts, completing emergency and after-hours deliveries, providing route coverage during staffing shortages or absences, assisting the Production Department as operational demands permit, completing required GeoTab inspections, maintaining accurate transportation documentation, and ensuring company vehicles are properly fueled, maintained, and ready for service. This position reports directly to the Transportation Manager and requires a high degree of flexibility, accountability, and operational efficiency to support daily business needs.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cross-train on other routes per department needs
  • Perform equipment moves to service provider for repairs and service as needed

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be able to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day
  • Be able to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels)
  • Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling
  • Valid Class D driver's license
  • Must have clean driving record per company policy
  • Have six months to one-year experience
  • Be available to drive nights and weekends
  • Ability to speak and read the English language
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead
  • Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs up to 10 hours per day
  • Be able to use repetitive arm motions
