PURPOSE: To provide quality service and products to our customers in a timely and professional manner.
Our client is looking for a Class A Commercial Driver to drive a 53'-foot Tractor-Trailer. The work schedule is 9 hour days, 5 day work weeks, Monday - Friday from 7pm to 4am. An employee may work both OT and weekend shifts from time to time so the employee needs to be flexible.
JOB SUMMARY: Operate company truck to pick up and deliver hospital linen at multiple medical facilities. Load and unload laundry carts. Establish professional relationship with customers and provide quality customer service. Represent the company professionally in appearance, conduct, and performance while at customer locations. Safe operation of company vehicles, including pre and post route inspections. Maintain DOT compliance and follow hours of service rules. Follow standard vehicle operating procedures.

- Be able to work past the schedule, as production/delivery issues may arise
- Ability to properly maintain required daily and weekly paperwork
- Perform a daily visual inspection of the equipment
- Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cross-train on other routes per department needs
- Perform equipment moves to service provider for repairs and service as needed

Skills/Experience:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Be able to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day
- Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling
- Valid Class A drivers license
- Adhere to all DOT, state, and local regulations
- Must have clean driving record per company policy
- Have six months to one-year experience
- Be available to drive nights and weekends
- Ability to speak and read the English language
- Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead
- Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs up to 10 hours per day
- Be able to use repetitive arm motions
Position: Route Drivers
- Night Shift Available Shift range from 7:00 pm to 4:00 am
- Flexible work schedule Including weekends
- Making 4-6 stops per night delivering and picking up linen at hospitals in Houston and surrounding areas.
