Job Description:
- The Roll Operator is responsible for handling/moving rolls from the paper stands to the production lines with the assistance of a walk-behind forklift.
- They are responsible for the continuous flow of paper in production by tagging one roll into another.
- They will keep glue application and machine settings adjusted as needed.
- They are responsible for quality and reporting machines issues during the shift.
Responsibilities: - Lifting 5 - 20 pounds occasionally.
- Standing/walking demands up to 9 hours per day.
- Experienced in reading tape measure, calipers.
- Bending at the waist occasionally.
- Walk-behind forklift operation experience
- Ability to use tools to separate rolls when needed.
- Taking scrap waste to balers.
- Operating pneumatic gun(nail/stapple).
- Fill out quality and production sheets to be turn in every shift.
- Assist stacker with getting pallets caught up.
- Adding material to achieve required paper thickness.
- Keeping fast paced lines fed with paper.
- Wearing all proper PPE and follow all safety regulations/procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience: - Manufacturing or production experience preferred.
Education: - High School diploma or GED preferred.
