Roll‑Off Driver
? Location: Dade City, FL
? Pay:$25+/hour (based on experience)
? Start Time:5:00 AM
? Schedule: Monday–Friday | Occasional Saturdays
⏱ Hours: 50–55 hours per week
Waste Connections is currently hiring safety‑conscious Roll‑Off Drivers to join our Pasco East team. This is a local, home‑daily position offering competitive pay, consistent hours, and long‑term stability with a company that puts safety and people first .
Duties & Responsibilities
+ Safely operate a Roll‑Off Truck on assigned routes to collect and transport solid waste
+ Read route sheets and service customers as assigned by dispatch
+ Deliver and remove roll‑off containers (10–40 yard bins, including compactors)
+ Operate hydraulic controls to load and unload containers
+ Perform routine pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections (fluids, tires, safety equipment)
+ Complete landfill and disposal site dumps safely and efficiently
+ Interact courteously and professionally with customers
+ Perform other job‑related duties as assigned
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
+ Physically demanding role requiring lifting, pushing, or pulling 50+ lbs
+ Exposure to outside weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, fumes, and vibration
+ Work around moving mechanical parts and active job sites while following all safety protocols
+ Noise levels are typically moderate
Minimum Requirements
+ Valid Class A or B CDL with air brakes endorsement
+ Minimum 2 years of relevant driving experience
+ Basic mechanical knowledge to complete vehicle inspections
+ Strong safety mindset and dependable work ethic
+ Waste or roll‑off experience preferred, but not required
