Job: Robotic Arm Technician
Location: Houston, TX
Pay: $30.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift (occasional Saturdays and overtime as required)
Job Overview
MGR Workforce is hiring an experienced Robotic Arm Technician for a leading manufacturing client in Houston, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician with experience installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial robotic arm systems in a fast-paced production environment.
The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical and electrical background, can diagnose equipment issues efficiently, and is committed to maintaining safe and reliable production operations.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission industrial robotic arm systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on robotic equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
- Calibrate robotic systems to ensure accurate operation.
- Test equipment after repairs and verify proper performance.
- Work with production and maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical manuals, and mechanical drawings.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and service documentation.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to robotic automation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with industrial robotic arm systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience performing maintenance and repairs on automated production equipment.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools as well as diagnostic equipment.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance reporting and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical diploma or certificate in Robotics, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Automation, Electronics, or a related field.
- Experience working with automated manufacturing equipment and robotic production cells.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working around industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
