Amazon Robotics (AR) invites you to join the Robotics Delivery & Packaging Innovations (RDPI) Technology Deployment team as a Systems Engineer. You will play a vital role in deploying advanced industrial robotics and fulfillment technologies across North America, planning, executing, and launching field projects for our growing store network.Key Job ResponsibilitiesSupport and guide the installation of robotics, packaging, and sortation technologies at Amazon fulfillment centers.Develop detailed knowledge of robotic system operation and guide installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting both on‑site and remotely.Manage technical ambiguity around integration of work cells in fulfillment centers.Collaborate with hardware engineering, technical program managers, product managers, and internal customer teams, including site maintenance and operations.Travel to project sites across North America (75%+ of the year) and coordinate with stakeholders on program status.Manage day‑to‑day project scheduling, budget, and continuous improvement activities.Lead teams of other engineers on projects and drive improvement of work scopes.A Day in the LifeEvery day you will execute end‑to‑end deployment, manage integration challenges, collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders, and lead continuous improvement initiatives while traveling to project sites.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related STEM field.Experience in an engineering, construction, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.1+ year experience with technical drawings and/or reading CAD models (mechanical and electrical).1+ year experience working on mechanical, electrical, IT, networked, or software systems.Understanding of data collection, reporting, and data‑driven decision making.Ability to review data to set troubleshooting priorities on complex technical systems.Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.Interest in a field‑based construction or warehouse role.Ability to travel domestically 75% or more of the year.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of networking fundamentals.1–3 years experience in a field engineering, construction, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.Proven experience with hardware integration or complex electro‑mechanical/networked industrial equipment.Knowledge of robotic equipment (Fanuc, ABB) and Allen Bradley PLC experience.Use of data to drive decision making.Practical understanding of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, HTTP).Certifications in OSHA, ANSI, or other automation safety certifications; LEAN or Six Sigma certifications are a plus.BenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision CoverageMaternity and Parental Leave OptionsPaid Time Off (PTO)401(k) PlanAmazon offers a full range of benefits that support you and eligible family members, including domestic partners and their children.Amazon is an equal‑opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
