Why this role matters

  • Enable customer uptime by installing, starting up, and validating systems to spec.
  • Protect quality by monitoring erection/installation against company tolerances.
  • Restore productivity by testing, troubleshooting, and adjusting equipment in the field.
  • Empower users through on-site training in operation and maintenance.
  • Close the loop by documenting work and communicating product issues back to the team.

What you’ll handle

  • Hands-on field installations and service across MI, OH, Northern IN, and parts of Canada (with North America-wide travel possible).
  • Multi-day trips with overnight stays several days per week when projects require.
  • Remote support via phone and email to quickly resolve customer questions.
  • Use of gauges, meters, and electrical test equipment to verify specs.
  • Completion of records for both customers and the company; confirm install acceptance to activate warranty.
  • Special projects and other assigned duties.

What you bring

  • Ability to read blueprints, customer specifications, warranties, company standards, and operating/maintenance instructions.
  • Clear written communication for reports and correspondence; strong customer interaction skills.
  • Comfort with small hand/power tools and electronic testing equipment.
  • Willingness and eligibility to travel, including potential international trips.
  • High school diploma or GED, plus 1–2 years of technical experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; industry certifications are a plus.

Math & reasoning

  • Arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Diagnose practical issues with limited standardization; interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions.

Physical demands

  • Frequent standing/walking; handling tools/controls; reaching overhead; climbing/balancing.
  • Occasional sitting, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Lift/move up to 50 lbs frequently; over 100 lbs occasionally.

Where you’ll work

  • Environments near moving mechanical parts; outdoor weather conditions are common.

Compensation

  • Starting at $20.00 - $37.00 per hour (based on experience/qualifications)

  • Field: Michigan, Ohio, Northern Indiana, and sections of Canada; travel across North America possible
