Roads Crew Member

1.Operate line trimmers, mowers, blowers, chainsaws, chippers, and other assigned equipment to maintain road shoulders, rights-of-way, and common areas.

2. Remove debris from roads, ditches, culverts, and common areas using appropriate equipment and hand tools.

3. Inspect equipment before and after use, maintain proper fuel and fluid levels or gas mixtures as required, and promptly report equipment problems or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.

4. Clean and maintain ditches, culverts, and drainage areas to ensure proper water flow and reduce roadway hazards.

5. Clear brush, small trees, and undergrowth from lots and rights-of-way using chippers, saws, and other assigned equipment.

6. Assist with road, shoulder, and ditch maintenance work as assigned, including identifying and reporting damage, erosion, washouts, or other unsafe conditions.

7. Assist in maintaining guardrails, fencing, and related roadside structures, including basic repair and painting as needed.

8. Install, maintain, and report issues with traffic signs, markers, and other roadway safety devices.

9. Wear required personal protective equipment and operate all tools and equipment in accordance with safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.

10. Perform other related duties and equipment operation tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

11. Perform all assigned set-up, work area maintenance, clean up and closedown procedures and duties.

12. Exhibit courteous, pleasant conduct with all people always.

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Available to work overtime, holidays and weekends as needed, in addition to regular scheduled hours.
• This job may require standing, stooping, bending, or lifting up to 80 lbs.

Trim grass from road shoulders, remove any debris along roads, common areas, ditches, and culverts. Underbrush lots, work on roads and ditches and all other job duties as assigned.
