Road Maintenance Supervisor (Open and Promotional)

The Department of Public Works is accepting applications for the position of Road Maintenance Supervisor.  

There are currently two vacancies in the Department of Public Works. Under the direction of a Road Maintenance Manager, Road Maintenance Supervisors serve as a first line working supervisor with responsibility for overseeing a small crew involved in road maintenance and road construction activities. Road Maintenance Supervisors are responsible for the overall quality and quantity of work produced by their assigned crew, training crew members so they have the necessary skills to do the job, facilitating efforts to improve work methods and encourage crews to "work smarter and not harder", creating a positive motivational environment for the crew, and ensuring that high quality customer service is provided.
 

The ideal candidate for the Road Maintenance Supervisor position will:

• Possess in depth knowledge of road operations.
• Have at least four years of road maintenance experience.

• Possession of a Class A Commercial Driver License with tanker endorsement.
