A health services network in New York City is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their long-term care facility in Albany as a Unit Manager. This role provides leadership for a resident care unit while overseeing nursing staff and supporting high-quality care for a young adult population with complex needs.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 7am to 3pm
- Setting: Long-term care facility
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the assigned unit and ensure continuity of resident care.
- Supervise and direct RN, LPN, and CNA staff to support safe and effective care delivery.
- Complete and update care plans, resident records, and required documentation in compliance with regulations.
- Monitor resident needs, coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members, and address family concerns.
- Support quality improvement efforts, staff development, survey readiness, and compliance with facility policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of Nursing experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active New York State RN license
- CPR certification
- Experience in Nursing Management
- Experience in a Long-Term Care role/setting
- Strong assessment skills
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with residents with Neurological Impairments and Medical Fragility
- Experience with MDS, Care Plan Development, and Survey Preparedness
- Familiarity with Tube Feeds, Suctioning, Oxygen, and Tracheostomy Care
- Strong communication, prioritization, and conflict resolution skills
