Position Summary

The RN Supervisor (Registered Nurse Supervisor) provides leadership, supervision, and coordination of daily nursing operations in a skilled nursing / long-term care facility. This role ensures high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs) on assigned shift
  • Coordinate and oversee day-to-day clinical operations
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards (CMS, state, federal)
  • Monitor patient care, assessments, and documentation
  • Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to staff
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
  • Respond to and manage clinical situations as needed

 

Qualifications

  • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state (required)
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN)
  • Previous RN Supervisor or Charge Nurse experience preferred
  • Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and team management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
