RN Supervisor - Med Surg/Telemetry (5th Floor)

Join an exceptional team on our 5th Floor Med Surg/Telemetry unit, where collaboration, engagement, and a positive culture drive outstanding patient care. This leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced RN looking to expand their leadership skills while supporting a dynamic unit that cares for medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac, and surgical overflow patients.

Schedule:

Two (2) 12-hour clinical shifts

Two (2) 8-hour administrative shifts

About the Unit:

The 5th Floor Med Surg/Telemetry unit provides care to a diverse patient population, including telemetry and cardiac patients, while also supporting surgical overflow. The team is known for its strong culture, collaboration, and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with daily operations, staffing, patient flow, and resource management.

Support quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives.

Mentor, coach, and develop nursing staff to promote professional growth and engagement.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient, patient-centered care delivery.

Serve as a clinical leader and resource for staff during designated clinical shifts.

Partner with nursing leadership to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

Job Summary

Your role as Nursing Supervisor involves supervising healthcare professionals and ensuring high patient care levels. Maintain a safe environment and nurture nursing practice to improve patient outcomes. Oversee operations, productivity, and resource distribution to meet department priorities.

Essential Functions of the Role

  • Working closely with members from different professional fields to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Assessing how effective the nursing practices are and infusing practices and research discoveries that are evidence-based.
  • Fostering a caring and outcome-promoting environment.
  • Encouraging development and opening up growth opportunities for staff members.
  • Efficiently managing resources to promote safety within the healthcare system.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • EDUCATION - Associate''s Degree
  • MAJOR - Nursing
  • EXPERIENCE - (2) Two Years of Experience
  • CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer.
