Serves as an expert resource providing advanced practice, theories, and techniques gained through education, training, and experience to maximize quality patient/service outcomes.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited RN program.
Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written
Considerable knowledge of nursing
Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Outlook
Licensure/Registration/Certification:
One of the following:
Current Alabama RN license
Current Multi State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*
Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama
BLS
In Wound and Ostomy, one of the following certifications is required: Wound and Ostomy Nursing (CWON), Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing (CWOCN), or Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN). OR currently enrolled in one of the above programs. Certification is required within 12 months of hire or promotion.
Desired Qualifications:
MSN
Working knowledge of quality assurance, utilization review or risk management
Clinical specialty or management certification
