Job Title:  RN Quality and Patient Safety Specialist/Clinician
Location:  Modesto,CA

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)
 
Description:
Clinical Effectiveness Consultant IIL supports the hospital’s Quality and Patient Safety program by coordinating and managing the clinical peer review process. This role facilitates case identification, case preparation, reviewer assignment, and documentation to ensure timely and compliant peer review activities. Responsibilities include conducting preliminary clinical case assessments, reviewing medical records to evaluate adherence to clinical standards, and preparing case summaries for physician review committees. The specialist coordinates peer review meetings, supports communication between clinical leadership and reviewers, and ensures all documentation meets regulatory, accreditation, and internal compliance standards while maintaining strict confidentiality of the peer review process.

Requirements:
CA RN License or Active clinical license
3 years of experience in healthcare quality, patient safety, peer review, or clinical performance improvement
Experience reviewing medical records and clinical documentation for quality, compliance, and clinical standards
Familiarity with hospital regulatory and accreditation requirements (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS)
Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary clinical reviews or committees
 No Direct Patient Care

Preferred Requirements:
Prior experience supporting or coordinating a hospital peer review program
Background in Quality & Patient Safety or Clinical Effectiveness departments
Experience facilitating physician peer review committees or case review meetings
Knowledge of performance improvement methodologies or quality reporting processes.

Mandatory Skills:
3 years of experience in healthcare quality, patient safety, peer review, or clinical performance improvement
Experience reviewing medical records and clinical documentation for quality, compliance, and clinical standards
Familiarity with hospital regulatory and accreditation requirements (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS)
